WALT:  Search the meaning of the prefixs.

This week my class and I have been focusing on our prefixs for the past 2 terms, and this week our prefixs was sub, which that means under, for example “submerge, to put under water”.  For the prefixs we had to drag the prefixs and research the meaning in google to check the meaning to see if we were right or not. Then we had to blog about the prefxs which what I am doing right now. Then tick it off the mahi check list where all my classmates always forget to tick it of but thats alright because sometimes I forget to tick it off the mahi checklist.

WALA: Know what illustrator do for work.

This week on Monday my teacher told my classmates that we had to dress up as our favourite book character on Friday, I was excited because I wanted to see other kids favourite book character. There was some many intresting outfit because kids didn’t understood the assignment because they thought it was a no school uniform day. I found a outfit that I really fell in love with it,  and that was a harry potter outfit thhe reason why it was my favourite book because it was very creative when I found that it was one of my classmates I was shocked because I never knew there was a student who favourite book character was harry potter, I thought everyone was to cool for these types shows and books.🤷

When it was time to go inside the hall I was excited because the notice said that a person was coming to talk about her job and tell our school some facts about other people with their jobs across the world such as Australia,  Aki Fukuoka was talking about what her fear was when she was little around her kindergraten. When Aki was finished talking about her  job and other people jobs.  She asked two students to stand up and sit in the special chair, which was 1 girl and 1 boy to make it even, the students sitting on the special chair were confused. Aki told us that she was going to draw the girl, and that she needed help with ideas that could help her. It was funny because there was kids who had crazy idea. There was a kid who said to make the drawing a big nose. Same thing happened to the boy aswell!! 🤣

WALT:Know which writing page is better to do our on mood writing or suspense writing.

Talofa 👋!

For blogging today, our task was to blog about which website is better to do our writing plan on. I picked the suspense writing because it has more details then the mood writing, and another reason why it is better than mood writing because it has an understandment where that means its easier to understand when writing our writing plan.  Mood words are words that convey a certain emotion, atmopshere, or tone in your storytelling. Suspense writing could help you create a suspense, which is the feeling of uncertainty, anticipation, or anixey that your readers expericence. Writing suspense is better because it has an example to the bottom left when you are stuck on a solution. Unlike mood writing it has no example but if you wanted a example then you will need to find a mood writing. 😄

I enjoy writing on the suspense writing because it has more  details for the reader, and more example when writing paragraphs. Enough with the why is using writing suspense is better than mood writing, here is the two photo’s I will need to show you. 😊

WALT: Write a quality blog post

On Wednesday for Cybersmart our class and I had a task to finish about today. My favourite food is hot chips because it is always so crispy and its like oily and salty which makes it even more tasty, fun fact about my favourite food is that it is made from France. Hot chips are always so good when its hot or over bake it also hits different when it is made from the Dairy or from the bakery, because they always make it so good and flavourful, but sometimes I wonder where do they get their sauces from? Do they make or it is store brought? Hot chips is very special to me because one of my family member loved eating hot chips, but unfortunately they had passed away.  I am sharing this to you so that you could know a few things about me!! 😄

In my opinion hot chips are the best,  because it always hits different when it comes to Macdonald fries or KFC fries. But I really prefer eating the hot chips from the dairy, because it is always flavouful and crispy. 🍟

I have one question for you readers, what is your favourite food and why is it special to you. 🤷

Assalamualaikum Everyone!!

WALA: To remind ourselves, the things we have learnt for the past few weeks.

This week my class and I has been focusing on our DLO, which you can say it is our teachers number one priority in when we do our work, we had to go on our website and look for the copy of the Math DLO, then we had to make a copy of the google drawing then write the writing intention down below it will say ” How can I be successful?” After writing in that, you will have to write again but on the 2 example of what you have rememeber 4 weeks ago in your workshop.  The workshops I remember doing is Long Division and Long Multiplication.  Then I wrote on the 2 examples on the two workshops I remembered doing.

WALA: Our prefixs every week.

This week my class and I has been focusing on our prefixs and suffixes, and this week for our prefixs is co or com. My classmates had a choice to pick of making our own prefixs or we could do the one Tanya made for us, I always pick the one Tanya makes because sometimes I will always be lazy or making my own was to much work. For this week I decided to make my own prefixs because our prefixs was not very simple, because we had to figure out if the words were co or com, but I was struggling because I couldn’t understand. Then I went on google drawing and make my own prefixs, because it was more simple because you can research words that starts with co or com and put five on you google drawing or more, then you can research again the meaning of the words you have picked or you could get a dictionary and find the words you have done in the google drawing. 😊

WALHT: Place the idioms into the correct order.

This week my class and I has been focusing on our idioms. For this week our idioms expression was happy and sad, we had to move the idiom word to the correct order with the meaning of the idioms then,  or you can make your own and write the meaning of it or the defintion of it, which will take up all your time because, our teacher knows all of the idioms and put it on our website or the google slides. Then after we did our Idioms we had to blog about if we are done, but if we were not, thats okay because we had untill Friday to blog about it and post it,  so that we could share the ideas we have been doing for these weeks.

Kia Ora Everyone!!

This week my class and I has been focusing on our idioms, and our idioms this week is happy and excited. If you still don’t understand what idioms mean, that okay because when my teacher Tanya, showed me our work for the week was idioms, I was so confused because, I thought it was a math equation, but when I found out it was an actvity, of how you could express your feelings in a different way, (eg. Broken Down Which means ” Sad and depressed How you can go on the work, by going on a new tab, search up Edmund Hillary School, which will take you to website where you could see the classrooms, then you will have to go to the Room 9 site, as you press on the Room 9 website, scroll down, then you could see the Panui page, known as the Reading page in Maori. You could press any Reading groups, because we all do the same work, but the only thing that is different is the books and the Reading Response. Then you could see the Idioms, as you press on the idioms, it will take you to a website where it says Word Lab, thats where we get most of our reading activty from. Scroll down once again, then you will see two activity, you can make your own or you could make a copy of the one tanya made. 😄
