Talofa Lava Reader,
WALT: Bake what we learnt in Food Technology.
Today we baked some magenificent weetbix slices. Our teacher told us that last week we were going to make some Weetbix slices on a Friday last week but then she changed her mind because apparently our attuides were above the celling. So then she moved the baking day to Tuesday. If we wanted to do baking we had to keep our attitude below the max. Meaning she will have to have 5 fingers up and if we did something bad/naughty she will put a finger down. My class went from 5 fingers to 1/2 finger. Anyways these were the ingredients that were needed.
-
- 4 pieces of Weet – Bix (Crushed)
- 1 Cup of Flour
- 1/2 of White Sugar
- 1 Tsp of Baking Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Essence
- 150 Grams of Butter (Melted)
- 180 Degrees
- Bake for 10 minutes
- 1 Tsp Cocoa powder
To make this dish we had to place 4 Weet – Bix inside of our plastic bags and crush it till it was like flour, then we had to put 1 full cup of flour inside the bag with the Weet – Bix then mix it together. After placing the White sugar inside of our plastic bag. We then put the 1 tsp of baking inside of the bag and mixing it well. Then we had to put 150 Grams of Butter inside of a measuring bowl then put it inside of mircowave for 1 minute. When the butter is melted we will have to place on a table and leave it there for a 30 seconds to cool down, when we were waiting for our butter to cool we to put in our 1 Tsp of Cocoa powder then mix it. We then had to place our 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Essence, when our butter is cooled down we then had to mix it up then place on the Baking tray. We then had to wait for the other groups to finish so that we could go to the hall and put it in the oven for 10 minutes or more. When we all finished putting our ingredients inside of the plastic. We then had to go to the school Hall and put our Weet-bix slices inside of the oven. When it was the oven we then had to make our paper bags to place our weet-bixes slices leftover.
Thank you for reading my blog post and have a magnificent day. Also a reminder that the Lord loves you .
